Aboutme
Hello, my name is Chris Peppers and I am a 2009 film and video graduate (with honors) from Columbia College Chicago. My interest in film and video began when I was in high school, and has continued to grow and develop since then.
Before Columbia, I completed the film and video curriculum at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL. During my enrollment at Rock Valley College, I soared through the program successfully and won two awards. The school’s film and video department hosts an annual awards ceremony to honor the students who created the best work during the previous year. I won the award for Best Music Video as well as Best Video Art. The two pieces, “Lazer Tag” and “Apples and Pitchforks,” can be seen on my website.
After graduating from Rock Valley College and receiving my Associates Degree, I transferred to Columbia College Chicago to achieve my Bachelors Degree. At Columbia, I matured and flourished as an artist. I applied my creative knowledge and experience to the programs there, and networked with the very talented and connected artists that surrounded me. Also, the experience of living in downtown Chicago while I attended Columbia helped me grow and evolve into the artist I strive to be.
I produced several projects at Columbia, some of which can be seen on my site, as well as extend my education of the film and video industry onto separate aspects such as writing and audio for video.
Since graduating from Columbia, I have applied my creativity and passion toward several projects that are currently in progress. I consider myself a conceptual visualizer meaning that I observe anything and everything, and deconstruct and visualize it as everything except what it is.
