Everyone’s got a little classy western in them. TGI Friday’s would do good to host a western throwdown showdown for all the cowboys and cowgirls of the modern era. The entire building could be decorated like the western era, with things such as animal skulls, barrels, cowboy hats, and different names for the menu items (Western California Club Sandwich, Buffalo Hunting Wings, Sam Adam’s Western Lager, Sizzling Sun Chicken & Shrimp, Cheesy Bacon Tumbleweed Burger). People who show up to Friday’s should be encouraged to dress up as a cowboy or cowgirl, for judging for best costume with a prize such as a gift card to Friday’s. Events can be held that night such as, Cowboy Quick Draw (two participants are given a cap gun with one cap in the chamber, the guns are holstered, and on the count of 3 whoever pulls the gun out and fires the cap first wins a prize) and Five Finger Fillet (same game as the original, however contestants use a stamp marker, and must complete the routine in a set amount of time for a prize. A high score list can be kept for the quickest times to encourage people to keep coming back to the western showdown event, and to develop camaraderie). Whether cowboys and girls come to watch the competition or just to sit back and enjoy the western theme, its sure to be a great time!
