Hi everyone!

Another great contest on Zooppa.

Perfect for the summertime. I’m sure you are familiar with Johnsonville sausages, and how great they can be for summer cook outs. Well, Johnsonville wants you to create 15 or 30-second ads that feature your “ville” (like Johson “ville”, get it?).

There are a lot of cash prizes for this competition, and the requirements are pretty simple (except the brief was written by Johnsonville, so it may not be as easy to read as a traditional Zooppa brief), so feel free to make a few entries. Have fun!

Johnsonville Creators-

The client just pinged me this morning to tell me that the main Johnsonville contest ends tomorrow, July 20.

So if you’re creating a video for this contest, please make sure you upload there as well:

I didn’t realize that the two contests had different end dates, or I would have said so in the brief.

Zooppa’s Johnsonville contest runs through 8/1, so everyone working on videos has time to submit for that one.

This contest rocks. Videos about sausage are just inherently funny.

I’m pretty sure the numerical counter represents the order in which videos were submitted when the voting is turned off.

- Not a very elegant solution, I’m afraid.

I have sent all the videos to the client, and they are in the process of making their decisions for the winners.

Zooppa always tries to get the winners announced one week after a contest closes, and I’d like to stick to that here. I’ll be bugging Johnsonville on Monday for those results. The results will be announced first via the Zooppa blog.

So Johnsonville hasn’t given us their winner choices yet.

Since they haven’t announced the grand prize winner for the regular competition, they don’t want to steal any thunder by announcing their choices for the Zooppa competition.

- so I don’t have a hard date for when I can get you the winners.

But I can’t see it being any later than Monday Aug 23.

I’m afraid I can’t lend any insight into Johnsonville’s thought process, I have not been able to get feedback on their choices. However, they look like they were trying to spread their choices around. If you look at the choices for the regular competition, they chose one submission (Slain – A Most Lonely Pool) for the 5th place prize even though they didn’t select that one for a Zooppa contest prize.

As far as Zooppa Awards, they are voted on by Zooppa staff – I guess you’d call that a panel of judges.
