It says we cannot change the animation of the Pillsbury Doughboy? Can we just remove the background he is in, but keep the animation and everything else the same? |

Just got this back from Pillsbury regarding the Pillsbury Dough Boy animation included with the materials files: “Yes, they can remove the background, they just can’t alter the Doughboy. The background is really just a place-holder.” Good luck in the competition! -Kirk |

The company requires an HD video, but the limit is set at 50mb? |

Yo! And why only U.S. residents if it’s not a secret?) THANKS! |

“Quote”:The company requires an HD video, but the limit is set at 50mb? Keep your video under 50MB for the Zooppa website, but be prepared to turn in a HD version to the client, should you win one of the prizes. Thanks for the question. -Kirk |

“Quote”:Yo! And why only U.S. residents if it’s not a secret?) THANKS! Pillsbury only wants U.S entries for this competition to comply with some legal issues pertaining to broadcast television in the United States. Future ‘straight-to-TV’ competitions may have the same restrictions, but we are working to make our contests open to EVERYONE in the world. It’s more fun that way. -Kirk |

I have a question: Can I use photos from the Pillsbury website in my ad? |
|
Quote
Also what about found images on the internet? … Are those considered public domain? |

You can only use the images provided in the materials file. We are requesting more images from Pillsbury, if we get them I will add them to the materials file on the brief page. All images and video has to be acquired legally. I recommend shooting your own videos/photos of crescent roles and crescent dogs. It makes your ad more original. Good luck! |

***UPDATE*** Pillsbury says that you can use images from the PIllsbury website for your video. However, you CANNOT use images/video from Youtube etc. You can only use the images and video from the Pillsbury website and the images/video that are supplied in the materials file on the brief page. -Kirk |

Kirk, I read that I might need to get a “mom” for my Pillsbury ad. I don’t have one, BUT I do have roylaty free stock footage from Digital Juice libraries. Can I use the “mom” from those libraries, or do I need to get a “real mom” and shoot her (not literally, just with a camera…lol)??? |

However you must make sure that you have the rights to use the footage in a TV commercial. Check with Digital Juice about this. -Kirk |

I’m new to Zooppa, so um, how do I go about uploading a video, print, ect? |
|
Quote
Hi cnowocin, welcome to Zooppa! Uploading is easy! Go to the contests page, and select which contest you want to create for. Click on the contest icon, and read the brief on the brief page. The brief will tell you what you need to include in your ad- anything you’re asked to include should be spelled out in the brief, and any digital assets will be contained in the materials files. Download the materials files to get logos, pictures, anything we’re asking you to include in the ad (you have to be logged in to do this). Once your ad is created, go back to the contest brief page, and click on the “Upload” button in the upper right section. Once you’ve clicked on Upload, you will be taken to a new page. On this page, click on the type of ad you are trying to upload- Video, Print or Banner- underneath the contest logo. The system brings you into the video section as a default, so click on print or banner if that’s the type of ad you’re trying to upload. Then, go through the fields on the page and fill them out- required fields are marked with an asterisk *. If you’re uploading a video, one of the fields you should fill is “Custom Video Frame”. This field allows you to choose an image that will represent your ad as a thumbnail. Otherwise, the system chooses for you. This field isn’t required, but it’s a good idea to help your video get noticed. If you’re uploading a banner, the “Animation Frame” is the same thing- it is the image that will be used as the thumbnail image for your ad. Unlike videos, the banner section requires that you choose a frame. However, you can simply opt to upload the same banner file twice- both to the “animation” field and the “animation frame” field. This will make your first frame in your animation the thumb image. Hope that helps! If you need more help, please email me at zooppa.usa@zooppa.com. Thanks! Josh |

“Quote”:Hi I was wondering what is the policy about working at an advertising agency is There is no reason that people working at ad agencies can’t submit work. You can submit a piece independently, or you can submit it representing your agency. I suppose the only difference may be how any winnings are treated tax-wise. Welcome to Zooppa! Josh |
