How can I join Zooppa.com?
To join Zooppa's creative community, all you need to do is register and complete your personal profile. Then you can participate in our competitions, vote on other members' ads, make friends and network with other Creative members.
Who launches the creative contests?
National and international brands in search of innovative marketing solutions partner with Zooppa to sponsor advertising competitions. Zooppa's partner brands also provide a creative brief defining their brand identity and describing the kind of ads they'd like to receive. The brief also contains the brands logos, and any other special images you will need to create your ads.
I didn't receive the activation e-mail. What should I do?
Because your mail provider may mistake the activation e-mail, make sure to check your inbox, junk folder and trash. If you don't find your activation e-mail in any of those folders, please contact Zooppa Staff at zooppa@zooppa.com.
What kind of ads and how many ads can I upload for each contest?
Depending on the needs of the brand, you will be able to upload ads in multiple media: video, print, radio, or banner. You can also upload a concept or a short script. You can also make an ad inspired by a concept posted by another Members. If you make an ad based on another member's concept, you must give them credit for the concept when you upload your work.
How can I change or delete one of my ads?
Once you've uploaded your ad it cannot be edited. If you want to change your ad, you are welcome to upload a new version, but you won't be able to keep the votes and comments that the old version received. If you decide to upload a new version of your ad, Zooppa Staff will delete the old version. If you want your ad to be removed from competition, please contact Zooppa Staff at zooppa@zooppa.com to request that it be deleted.
The print ad that I have uploaded is not visible: why?
To avoid visibility problems, your print ads need to be uploaded in RGB color mode rather than in CYMK. To make your ad visible, change the color mode in Photoshop by following these steps: Image>Mode>RGB. Then, save and upload your ad again.
When I upload a concept I have to fill out the Claim field. What is this?
The claim is a sentence that sums up your concept. Think of it as the slogan for your campaign.
Who chooses the winning ads?
The community decides the assignment of prizes by voting for its favorite ads. Zooppa Staff assigns the jury prizes called Big Zooppa Awards. Sometimes the company that launched the campaign assigns further prizes. After the competition has closed and Zooppa Staff has verified the eligibility of the winners, the prizes are assigned and announced on the Winners page.
Who can vote on ads? And how?
Only registered and logged in users can vote on ads. Each user can vote on each ad only once. To vote, members allot a number of stars to an ad. The number of stars a member has to give depends on his or her seniority.
How does seniority work? Why can some users give up to 20 stars, and I can give only 5?
There are four levels of seniority for Zooppa members. When you first register on Zooppa.com you are a Newbie. As you participate in competitions, upload ads, comment and vote on ads, you will become a Junior, then a Middle, and finally a Senior.
Each level of seniority has a different number of stars to give to an ad. Newbies can give up to 5 stars, Juniors up to 10, Middles up to 15, and Seniors up to 20. Your seniority level has no bearing on your chance to win prizes in competitions.
What if I don't follow the Terms & Conditions?
If it comes the attention of Zooppa Staff that you have failed to abide by our Terms & Conditions, Official Rules, Submission Rules, or any other policy, you will receive a notification identifying the violation and recommending steps by which the violation can be rectified. If violations continue, Zooppa Staff is authorized to take punitive measures including removing votes, deleting ads, and suspending or banning the offending user.
How are the prizes paid?
Prizes won in Zooppa's U.S. competitions are awarded in U.S. dollars. When you win a prize you will be required to download, fill in, and mail back to us certain documents. After we receive your documents, we'll take about 30 days to process your payment. Then we'll send you a check.
Prizes won in Zooppa's Italian and Brazilian competitions are awarded in Zoop$, a virtual currency owned by the ZoopBank. One Zoop$ is equivalent to one US$. Once you've won 1,000 Zoop$ you can convert them to real currency.
How do I check my account balance?
In your Zooppa profile, click the link for Zoopbank.
What happens when I convert my 1,000 Zoop$ into U.S.$?
When you convert the Zoop$ you've won in Italian and Brazilian competitions into US$, Zooppa will deposit the money you have earned in your bank account. Zooppa Staff will send you a form asking for your account information. A deposit will be made in the amount of U.S.$ corresponding to the number of Zoop$ in your Zoopbank on the date of the transaction. At that point, your account balance on Zooppa will reset to zero. Then you can begin to accumulate Zoop$ again by entering and winning other Italian and Brazilian competitions.
Am I required to convert my Zoop$ once I reach the minimum of 1,000 Zoop$?
No. You can continue to accumulate Zoop$ for as long as you like. Please note, however, that once you decide to convert your Zoop$, the entire amount will be converted.
